Metamorphosis

Published by the Indie Fantasy Corner

A monster lurking in a cave awaits a hero. The past is revisited. A dark underworld is explored to escape oppression. A child is waiting to be born. A person finds that things around them are not quite what they seem. The world rebirths anew.

Metamorphosis means a lot of things to many people, and what you hold in your hands is a collaborative dream, woven together by writers and artists with a shared love of storytelling. Through these stories, we hope you find your own sense of metamorphosis.

writing out our twenties

a multi-genre anthology of thursday night writes

In March of 2022, the Writing Out Our 20s Discord server was born. What started as an accountability and critique group quickly evolved into deep literary and personal bonds amongst a group of eight twenty-something writers navigating life and young adulthood. Each of these pieces was drafted in the span of a few hours during a Thursday night writing sessions, set to the tune of thirty-minute timers and periodic check-ins.

This anthology is for anyone who's experienced teen angst in their twenties. For anyone who's experienced the rollercoaster of hope and loss in the span of one night, new beginnings and world-ending apocalypses in the span of on week.

From poetry to prose, fantasy novel excerpts to flash creative nonfiction, eight writers showcase their unique perspectives via Thursday night drabbles, therapy sessions, and blood on the page.
