Books & Writing

"The writer you are today is
the best writer you have ever been."
—Olivia J. Bennett

Olivia, a white woman with brown wavy hair, holds a stack of books and stands in front of a colorful bookshelf

the gritty, the evocative, the real, and the poetic.

Olivia is the award-winning author of two young adult novels and is currently writing a high fantasy series called The Artifacts of Fellglow, perfect for fans of the character-driven Murtagh and the lyrical prose of The Raven Cycle. Her work often explores themes of mental health, being an eldest daughter, and overcoming past trauma. She loves to include morally-gray female heroines, atmospheric settings, and genre-bending horror in her contemporary, fantasy, and science fiction works.

Many Times, Many Ways: A Collection of Short Works by Young Authors

Featuring several of the same authors, Writing Out Our Twenties consists of creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. What makes this one special is that each of the pieces featured was drafted over the course of a few hours in Olivia's writing accountability group that meets each Thursday evening.
